Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy describes what personal data is processed when you visit this website or contact us, on what legal basis, for how long, and what rights you have.
1. What data is processed and why
Web hosting
The site is hosted by an external hosting provider. Each page load necessarily generates operational data — in particular IP address, browser type and version, access time and requested URL. These data serve solely for the technical operation and security of the service; the controller does not access them in a form that would allow tracking individual visitors. The controller does not control the hosting provider's internal data handling and does not guarantee its practices; these are governed by the provider's own terms and privacy policy. Details of the provider are available on request.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in the technical operation and security of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Third-country transfer: the hosting provider processes operational data in the United States. Transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Details are available on request.
Contacting us (e-mail)
If you write us an e-mail or use another contact channel listed on the site, we process the data you provide in that contact — in particular your e-mail address, name and the message content.
- Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for answering enquiries.
- Purpose: handling your enquiry and any related follow-up communication.
2. Cookies, local storage and third-party content
This website does not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and does not use fingerprinting or any other technology aimed at identifying users or their devices. We do not run active web analytics, so visits cannot be tracked or profiled.
The site stores one preference in your browser's local storage. It is not a cookie, contains no identifier, and is never sent to a server.
You can delete this preference at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
The contact section embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. The map is lazily loaded when the contact section approaches the viewport; loading it transmits your IP address and browser information to the OpenStreetMap Foundation so the map can be displayed. Its privacy policy applies:OSMF Privacy Policy. Legal basis: legitimate interest in displaying the location map (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Other than the OpenStreetMap embed, the site loads no third-party scripts or fonts from external servers.
3. Data retention
- Hosting operational data: retained by the hosting provider according to its terms and internal policies (typically only as long as necessary for operation and security).
- Correspondence from the contact channel: for the duration of handling your enquiry and thereafter only as necessary; max. [PERIOD, e.g. 2 years].
4. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Exercise them at port@bartuga.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7,www.uoou.cz.
5. Security
The site is static and processes no data on its own server side. Communication is encrypted (HTTPS). Data from contact channels is stored in our e-mail systems, accessible only to authorised personnel.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the version published on this page is always the current one.
